Privacy policy
Last updated 3 October 2026
This policy covers this website and the hosted SYW Crafty Discord bot and its relay, run by SYW Apps. It does not cover a SYW Crafty panel itself: a panel runs on its owner's own machine, and what it keeps is up to them.
This website
- No cookies, no analytics, no trackers, no advertising.
- If you switch between light and dark mode, that choice is saved in your own browser and never sent to us.
- Like any web server, ours logs requests (IP address, time, page, browser) for security and troubleshooting. These logs are kept for a short time and then deleted.
The Discord bot and relay
The hosted bot is one Discord bot shared by many panels. The relay connects each Discord server to the one panel that linked it: it forwards that server's events to that panel, and makes requests to Discord for that panel, only in its own Discord servers.
What we store
| What | Why | Until |
|---|---|---|
| For each panel that uses the bot: an id, the name the panel gave itself, its version, a one-way hash of its key, and when it registered and last connected | To know which panel is which, and that a panel is who it says | The panel removes itself |
| For each linked Discord server: its id and name, which panel it belongs to, and since when | To send its events to the right panel | It is unlinked, or the bot is removed from it |
| Link requests: a code and which panel asked | To link a Discord server | Used, or 15 minutes |
What passes through, and is not stored
From a linked Discord server, the relay forwards to the panel that owns it: members' Discord ids and
usernames, their roles, when they join, leave or change roles, and the Minecraft name someone types into
/whitelist. The relay keeps none of this. Once it is in a panel, that panel's owner decides what is
kept, as the controller of that data.
The bot does not read messages in your channels.
Discord
Using the bot means using Discord, whose own privacy policy applies to what Discord does with your data.
Sharing
We do not sell or rent data, or share it with anyone, except where the law requires it.
Your rights
You can ask what we hold about you, and have it corrected or deleted, by writing to privacy@sywapps.com. For data a panel holds about you, ask that panel's owner - usually the admins of the Discord or Minecraft server you play on. You can also complain to your data protection authority.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be here, with its date at the top.
